Snowbird - what an awesome place to train

With an annual snowfall of 500 inches of light dry powder Snowbird is the perfect place for your next ski and snowboard adventure.

With 35 percent of the terrain dedicated to advanced to expert skiing and riding you will be challenged on a daily basis and on the days when you just don't feel like skiing or riding more powder there is a superpipe and terrain park to develop your freestyle skills.

Featuring the first ski area tunnel in North America, Snowbird is also known for its 125-passenger Aerial Tram and long, continuous, vertical runs. Snowbird, along with Little Cottonwood Canyon neighbor Alta, share a dual-resort lift ticket providing 4,700 acres of skiable terrain.

A total of 18 lifts service the ski area which has been rated as the number 1 ski resort in the United States for by Skiing Magazine for 5 years in a row. With a bottom elevation of 7760 feet and a top of 11000 feet there are runs to suit all abilities, the longest of which is Chips Run a whopping 2.5 miles long! In addition to world-renowned skiing and snowboarding, Snowbird offers snowmobiling, ice skating, snowshoe tours and an avalanche rescue training center.

Only 29 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport Snowbird offers offers that alpine resort feel with big city convenience.

Getting to Snowbird is easy. Several transportation companies offer non-stop shuttles from Salt Lake City International Airport to Snowbird’s front door. Once at Snowbird, the only transportation needed is a pair of skis or a snowboard – the Tram and chairs provide the rest.
