8 Week Snowboard Instructor Course
A more condensed version of our 10 week course.
If you have more time check out our 10 week snowboard course.
If you are really short of time have a look at our 5 week Intensive snowboard course, or our 5 week Level 1 snowboard course.
SITCo's 8 week snowboard course is our original idea but on a shortened timeframe. There will still be time for a lot more than just training and exams. On the 8 week course you will have the opportunity to do all the things that are on the 10 week course, you may find though that you are thrown in at the deep end when you arrive. Once you are up to speed you will still have time to enjoy everything a winter in Queenstown has to offer.
On successful completion of the 8 week snowboard course you will train for the SBINZ Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.
The program is designed to allow to come down and do everything that you could do for the long course but in a shorter timeframe. This does mean that things can be a little more intense at times, but you will still get to do everything, you will even get to go on a Heli board day out!

What can I expect on my Snowboard Instructor Course?
You can expect to be involved in a snowboard training program that will be a lot of fun, a lot of hard work and you will have a lot of challenges to over come. But at the end of the 8 weeks you will be a much better rider than you can ever imagine, with the skills and the knowledge to go out and work as snowboard instructor, or to snowboard with family and friends with a solid understanding of what makes good snowboarding.
You will be training on snow 3 days a week sometimes more, and then we will expect you to be practicing what you have learnt at least another two days a week. On top of that there will be video analysis session in the evenings and every week there will be at least one evening theory session indoors.
